The Construction Design and Management Regulations cover the management of health, safety and welfare when carrying out construction projects. Whatever your role in the construction industry these regulations are there to improve your health and safety. They are intended to ensure that projects are planned and run effectively and safely right from the start.

This course is suitable for anyone who is a key duty holder, whether they are the client, the principal contractor, the principal designer, the designers or sub-contractors. This course offers guidance on the roles and responsibilities of key duty holders.

On successful completion of the course you will be able to download a quality assured certificate .

This can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit. The certificate displays the IIRSM logo.

The CDM Awareness course certificate does not have an expiry date. The recommended renewal period for this training is 1 year. This is printed on your certificate.

This awareness course covers the core concepts of the regulations and details the vari-ous roles that are required for a construction project along with the key documents that need to be produced. It starts with an introduction to CDM, then covers some of the pa-rameters that need to be checked when a project is being planned. It finishes by detailing a number of example projects that illustrate how the regulations can be applied. The course has 5 modules and can be completed in 40 minutes- 1 hour.

The online assessment is taken on completion of each training module, through several multiple-choice questions. You are required to get 70% on the tests in modules 1-5 to pass the course and gain your certificate.

You can review all the answers before final submission and are given 3 attempts to achieve the required result.
