If you work in cladding on site, this NVQ level 2 is your super fast route to the qualification behind your blue CSCS card
You could be involved in installing roof sheeting and cladding systems and do associated tasks on site working from various drawings and specifications.
We know that not all cladding activities are the same and there are different ways in which you can be assessed to prove your competency. This is why you will be allowed to choose a personalised route to complete and meet the criteria for the NVQ Level 2 Diploma.
Together with your assessor, you will decide on the easiest way of proving your work competence in preparing the resources required, installing sheeting, cladding systems, rainwater goods - gutters, pipes, downpipes and angles swan necks, off sets, brackets and supports, sumps, overflows and outlets.
You will also be able to select optional units recognising skills including:
- working with boom and/or scissor type mobile elevating platforms (MEWPs)
- installing solar collectors
- using ergonomic manipulating machines
- slinging/signaling the movement of loads.
We will also check through simple tasks your knowledge and competence in working at heights, calculating quantities and wastage, using powered and hand tools and equipment.
