You are considered a competent dry liner finisher or tape jointer if you require minimum supervision in doing your day-to-day job tasks.
We know that not dry lining finishers are involved in the same activities and there are different ways in which you can be assessed to prove your competency. This is why you will be allowed to choose a personalised route to complete and meet the criteria for the NVQ Level 2 Diploma.
Together with your assessor, you will decide on the easiest way of proving your work competence in finishing dry lining walls or ceilings, doing tape and joint finishes.
We will also check through simple tasks your knowledge and competence in working at heights, calculating quantities and wastage, using powered and hand tools and equipment.
