To be considered a competent shuttering carpenter / formworker, you require minimum supervision in carrying out your day-to-day jobs on site.
We know that not all shuttering carpenters / formworkers are involved in the same activities and there are different ways in which you can be assessed to prove your competency in working with timber and proprietary formwork systems primarily for columns, walls, beams, soffits, kickers and pre-cast units.
This is why you will be allowed to choose a personalised route to complete and meet the criteria for the NVQ Level 2 Diploma.
Together with your assessor you will decide on the easiest way of proving your work competency in your trade in order to receive your NVQ diploma.
We will also check via simple tasks your knowledge and competency in working at heights, calculating quantities and wastage, using powered and hand tools and equipment.
