If you work as a modular pavement groundworker, this NVQ level 2 is your super fast route to the qualification behind your blue CSCS card

As a modular pavement groundworker, you could be involved in laying block paving, brick paving, stone/concrete setts or paving using natural stone.

We know that not all modular pavement groundworkers are involved in the same activities and there are different ways in which you can be assessed to prove your competency. This is why you will be allowed to choose a personalised route to complete and meet the criteria for the NVQ Level 2 Diploma.

Together with your assessor, you will decide on the easiest way of proving your work competence in laying modular pavements and setting out secondary dimensional work control.

You will choose one competence unit in either showing how you establish work area protection and safety or segregating the area for highways works.

We will also check through simple tasks your knowledge and competence in calculating quantities and wastage, using powered and hand tools and equipment, working safely, moving, handling and storing resources.
