If you work as a trade supervisor, this NVQ level 3 is your super fast route to the qualification behind your gold CSCS card

As a trade supervisor you could be responsible for the work activities of bricklayers, carpenters, dry liners, steel fixers, plumbers, ground workers or any other trader on a construction site.

We know that not all trade supervisors are involved in the same activities and there are different ways in which you can be assessed to prove your competency. This is why you will be allowed to choose a personalised route to complete and meet the criteria for the NVQ Level 3 Diploma.

Together with your assessor, you will decide on the easiest way of proving your work competency in:

  • co-ordinating and organising work operations
  • confirming the occupational method of work
  • developing and maintaining good occupational working relationships
  • confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area

In practice this means evidencing your work through videos, explaining what you do and how you do it, showing records you already produce - briefings and toolbox talks, work programmes and resource plans, quality and progress checks, plus witness statements from your manager (we provide the template) and professional discussions with your assessor.
