As a construction site supervisor you could be responsible for organising and supervising work on construction sites and be involved in decision-making.
Whether you work for a big contractor on a multi-million pound commercial project, or run a construction company we have a fast route to help you complete your NVQ.
As soon as you register, together with your assessor you'll get to decide on the pathway which best proves your competency in leading teams, maintaining and improving the standards of work and knowing the legislation. As there is a wide range of tasks that take place on construction sites, this qualification gives you three different pathways to earning your NVQ diploma:
- Building & Civil Engineering
- Highways and Maintenance Repair
- Residential Development
No exams, no classroom
The evidence - from work you're already doing
Don't collect anything yet - your assessor plans it with you at onboarding. The evidence shows the supervisory side of your work. It will look like this:
Coordinating multiple trades - programmes, sequencing, progress monitoring
Site meetings you attend or run - minutes and actions with your name
Health & safety arrangements you manage - inspections, briefings, records
Videos of 5-8 minutes in which you explain what you are working on and how you are doing it - a workmate can film on a phone. We can capture them during remote visits or on-site visits as well.
Site documents with your name, plus a witness statement from your supervisor or manager (we provide the template)

The knowledge side - done your way
Every NVQ has knowledge requirements alongside the practical evidence. No exams - you complete your knowledge questions the way that suits you:
Option 1
Easy live remote sessions
Join a live session on our platform and work through your knowledge questions with support, in a relaxed setting.
Option 2
In your own time, in writing
Complete your knowledge questions in writing whenever suits your schedule - evenings, weekends, between jobs.

Professional discussion
Talk it through - your assessor covers the knowledge requirements in structured professional discussion sessions.
